It all depends on the size and the curvature of the vehicle’s roof. There are several sliding roofs which adjust to those specific characteristics. Imapar can determine this information based on the original vehicle specs provided by our exclusive suppliers for Colombia and Latin America, Webasto.
Currently, with Webasto’s sliding roof technology, together with the installation experience of a company such as Imapar, it is nearly impossible for water to leak inside the vehicle. All roofs have drainage systems and waterproofing which channel the water to the exterior and prevent any leakage.
You will receive an owner’s manual with your sliding roof giving you instructions in its operation and care. We recommend that you perform a periodic cleaning of the glass and the channels where the roof slides to prevent any blockage due to dirt or debris. It is also recommended to lubricate the channels to guarantee a smooth and silent operation. Roofs are designed for a high number of operational cycles and should not present any technical problems.
Imapar carries an inventory of spare parts in case of any eventuality or damage to the sliding roof.
No, the roofs do not include a rain sensor. We can install a rain sensor on the sliding roof to close it upon rain detection. Rain sensor sold separately.
